GPStrix

Sell GPStrix under your own name.

You find the customers and look after them. They sign in on your domain, see your product name and colours, and call your support number. You run their accounts from your own console, and each month you get a statement of what you earned.

What your customers see.

Your name where ours would be. A customer who signs in on your domain is never sent to a GPStrix page, so they are never one click from our name or our prices.

Product name
Shown in the console, on the sign-in page and as the sender name on alert emails, unless the customer sets a sender name of their own.
Logo and favicon
Yours, in the console header and the browser tab.
Support contacts
Your support email and phone number, where the console tells a customer how to get help.
Colours
Your accent colour, set separately for the light and dark themes, with its hover and text-on-accent shades. Backgrounds, text and warning colours stay ours, so no combination of brand colours can make the console unreadable.
Domain
One custom domain, for example track.yourcompany.in. See below.

Your own domain, with HTTPS from the first visit.

You prove the domain is yours with a DNS record, then point it at us. A certificate is only ever issued for a hostname that has passed verification, so nobody can point a domain at the platform and have it served over HTTPS without proving it is theirs.

  1. Claim the hostname

    Enter it in the reseller console. It gets a verification token of its own.

  2. Add two DNS records

    A TXT record that carries the token, and a CNAME that points the hostname at the platform. The console shows both values with copy buttons.

    _gpstrix-verify.track.yourcompany.in  TXT    <your token>
    track.yourcompany.in                  CNAME  <shown in the console>
  3. Press verify

    We look up the TXT record. If it is missing or wrong, the console says what we found instead, and you can try again once DNS has caught up.

  4. Open the domain

    The HTTPS certificate is issued automatically on the first visit after verification, and renewed without you doing anything.

To change domains, release the old one and claim the new one. Several resellers can claim the same hostname while it is unverified; the first to prove the TXT record gets it, so nobody can lock a domain by claiming it and never verifying.

Running your customers.

Each of your customers is a separate account. Their vehicles, users and history are kept apart by the database itself, the same way every GPStrix account is, so one customer can never see another's fleet through a bug in a screen.

From the reseller console you:

  • create a customer account with its plan and its first owner's sign-in, who then adds the rest of their own users;
  • move a customer to another plan;
  • adjust single features or limits for one customer, such as more vehicles or a longer history window;
  • see each customer's vehicles and trackers.

What you can give a customer is bounded by what your own agreement with us includes. Your agreement also sets how many customer accounts you can hold and how many active trackers they can have between them.

How you are paid.

We invoice your customers. Every customer invoice is a GST invoice from us, under our GSTIN and our own numbering, so you do not have to run billing, chase payments or file GST on the subscription.

On the 2nd of each month you get a commission statement for the month before, as a PDF in the reseller console. Each line is one customer invoice: the customer, the GST invoice number, the number of devices charged, the invoice amount before tax, and your commission on it. You then raise your own invoice on us for the total.

The shape of a statement. Customers, invoice numbers and counts are placeholders.

The rate
Agreed with you, either a fixed amount per active device or a percentage of each invoice. We do not publish a standard rate.
On the net
Commission is calculated on the invoice before GST. The tax is not ours to share.
Rate changes
A new rate applies from its start date. Each invoice uses the rate in force on the day it was issued, so a change never alters a statement you already have.
Reversals
If a customer's invoice is cancelled after you were paid on it, the next statement carries a negative line naming the original invoice. Old statements are never rewritten, so the trail matches what you filed.
Not a tax document
The statement says so on its face. Your invoice to us is the tax document for your commission.

What stays ours, said plainly.

We are the seller of record. Your customers' invoices come from us. If you want to bill your customers yourself, talk to us before you sign anyone up.

SMS and WhatsApp alerts go out under our registered sender. In India the SMS sender id and every message template are registered under the DLT rules, and WhatsApp approves each template. A message cannot be re-branded without breaking that registration, so your customers will see our sender on those two channels. Email alerts carry your product name.

One domain per reseller. Everything else on that domain is the console; there is no marketing site of yours hosted with us.

Start with a conversation.

Tell us where you sell, roughly how many vehicles your customers run, and which trackers you install. We will explain the agreement and what setting up a reseller account involves.
